Yasmin Crombez

PhD fellow, Predoctoral Scholars


Yasmin Crombez is currently a PhD fellow at Vrije Universiteit Brussel working on the influence of American English on the language use of Flemish emigrants during the 19th and 20th century. To get an idea of the Belgian Dutch - American English contact situation back then, she makes use of egodocuments in combination with US-based Flemish newspapers such as The Gazette of Detroit.
