Bio:
Philippe Paquier is Head of the Department of Clinical and Cognitive Neuropsychology at ULB-Erasme University Hospital, Brussels. He is a full professor of psycholinguistics and neurolinguistics at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Brussels, and an associate professor of neurolinguistics and aphasiology at the Université Libre de Bruxelles, Brussels. His primary research interests focus on pediatric neurological neurocognitive and speech/language disorders, with special emphasis on (a) epileptic encephalopathies with neurocognitive regression (continuous spikes and waves during slow sleep; Landau-Kleffner syndrome), (b) the syndrome of cerebellar mutism and related disorders in children, (c) the long-term neurocognitive outcome of childhood brain tumor survivors.
